IBPS 14th CRP RRB: A Gateway to Banking Careers
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced a significant opportunity for aspiring banking professionals with the launch of its 14th (XIV) online Combined Recruitment Process (CRP) for Regional Rural Banks (RRB). This massive recruitment drive aims to fill over 13,000 vacancies across 43 participating Rural Banks. The positions are divided into two main categories: Group-A Officers (Scale-I, II, and III) and Group-B Office-Assistants (Multipurpose). With more than 5 lakh candidates typically competing for these roles, this is a highly competitive examination that requires thorough preparation.

Key Timelines and Vacancy Details
The application window for this recruitment is short and precise. Prospective candidates must apply online between September 1, 2025, and September 21, 2025. The examination process is scheduled to begin later in the year. Preliminary exams for both Officer Scale-I and Office-Assistants are tentatively slated for November/December 2025. This will be followed by the Main examination for both posts, which is scheduled for December 2025/February 2026.
A total of 13,217 vacancies have been announced, providing numerous opportunities across various roles:
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 7,972 vacancies for candidates aged 18-28 years, with a pay scale of ₹24,050 to ₹64,480.
- Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): 3,907 vacancies for Probationary Officer (PO) roles, with an age limit of 18-30 years and a pay scale of ₹48,480 to ₹85,920.
- Officer Scale-II (Manager): 1,187 vacancies for candidates aged 21-32 years, requiring 1-2 years of relevant experience. This scale includes both General Banking Officers and Specialists in fields like Information Technology, Chartered Accounting, Law, Treasury, Marketing, and Agriculture. The pay scale ranges from ₹64,820 to ₹93,960.
- Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): 199 vacancies for candidates aged 21-40 years with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The pay scale for this senior role is ₹85,920 to ₹105,280.
The Two-Tier Selection Process
The selection process is designed to be rigorous and fair, with different pathways depending on the applied-for post. Candidates applying for both Officer Scale-I and Office Assistants will go through a two-phase online examination: a preliminary exam and a main exam. Office Assistants will be provisionally allotted based on their main exam scores. For Officer Scale-I, those who qualify in the preliminary and main exams will be invited for a common interview.
For candidates applying for the higher-level posts of Officer Scale-II and Scale-III, the process is a bit different. They will only need to appear for a single online examination. Shortlisted candidates from this exam will then proceed to a common interview. It’s important to note that a candidate can apply for the Office Assistant post and for one Officer post (Scale-I, Scale-II, or Scale-III), but cannot apply for multiple officer positions.
The application fee is ₹850 for general category candidates, with a reduced fee of ₹175 for SC, ST, and PWD candidates. This fee can be paid online using various methods like credit/debit cards, internet banking, or mobile wallets.
