About the IBPS 15th CRP Specialist Officer (SO) Recruitment

The IBPS, an autonomous body authorized by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and mandated by Public Sector Banks, conducts this Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-XV) for Specialist Officer Cadre posts. The entire examination process, including both preliminary and main exams, will be conducted online.

Upon successful completion of the Main Examination, candidates will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating organizations.     • Qualification: 4-year Engineering/Technology Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication, or Electronics & Instrumentation OR a Post-Graduate Degree in Electronics, Electronics & Tele Communication, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Applications OR a Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level.
  • Law Officer (Scale-I): 56 vacancies (UR-27, EWS-5, OBC-14, SC-7, ST-3) (PWD-2).
    • Qualification: A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council.

Pay Scale: The Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMG-I) offers a pay scale of ₹48480-85920/-.

Examination Schedule and Application Details

The IBPS 15th CRP Specialist Officer recruitment process follows a structured timeline:

  • Online Preliminary Examination: Will be conducted in August 2025.
  • Online Main Examination: Will be conducted in November 2025.

Application Fee:

A non-refundable application fee of ₹850/- is applicable for general category candidates. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the fee is ₹175/-. IBPS Bank Specialist Officer Cadre 15th CRP Examination Structure

The XV (15th) CRP for Bank Specialist Officer Cadre Vacancy will involve two online examinations:

Online Preliminary Examination:

This exam will comprise three subject papers with a total of 150 questions and a duration of two hours (125 marks).

  • For Law Officers and Rajbhasha Officers: Papers will cover English Language, Reasoning Ability, and General Awareness with Special Reference to the Banking Industry.
  • For IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer: Papers will cover English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.Each paper will consist of 50 questions and have a duration of 40 minutes. The preliminary examination will be conducted in August 2025 at various test centers across India.

Online Main Examination:

This examination will focus on Professional Knowledge relevant to the candidate’s chosen specialty. The exam is scheduled for November 2025.
