The Indian Army is seeking talented and dedicated Indian Nationals (both Male and Female) to join the prestigious Army Dental Corps as Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers for the year 2025. This is a unique opportunity to serve the nation as a Government Officer in the esteemed Indian Army.

Available Vacancies and Compensation

A total of 30 vacancies are open for the SSC Officer Dental Corps position. Successful candidates will be appointed to the rank of Captain and will receive a competitive salary package. This includes Pay Level-10B, ranging from ₹61,300 to ₹120,900, along with a Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500/-. Additionally, officers will be granted a Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) at 20% of their Basic Pay.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for these coveted positions, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) or MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) degree from a College/University recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI). For BDS graduates, a minimum of 55% marks in the final year BDS is mandatory.
Internship Completion: A one-year compulsory rotatory Internship, mandated or recognized by the DCI, must be completed by June 30, 2025.
Dental Registration: Applicants must possess a Permanent Dental Registration Certificate issued by a State Dental Council or the DCI, which should be valid for at least up to December 31, 2025.
Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants is 45 years as of December 31, 2025.
NEET (MDS) – 2025 Requirement: Only BDS/MDS candidates who have appeared in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET (MDS)-2025) are eligible to apply. This examination was conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi, under the aegis of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on April 19, 2025. Candidates are required to submit a copy of their Mark-sheet/Score card of NEET (MDS)-2025 along with their application.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of ₹200/- is required. This payment must be made online to the DGAFMS (APF Fund) when submitting the application.
