OCES & DGFS Training Programs
- One-Year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Post Graduates (OCES): This one-year program provides intensive training at BARC Training School and its affiliates.
- Two-Year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme (DGFS): This program allows candidates to pursue an M.Tech. degree in specific specializations at various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Engineering Graduate or Science Post-Graduate with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Age limit: 26 years old.
Selection Process
The selection process involves two stages:
- Initial Screening: Candidates can qualify for the screening process either through a valid GATE score (GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025) in the relevant discipline or by appearing for an online test conducted by BARC on March 8 & 9, 2025.
- Selection Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews in Mumbai and Hyderabad during May-June 2025.
Benefits of OCES & DGFS
- Trainee Scientific Officers (TSOs) and DGFS Fellows receive a handsome stipend of ₹74,000 per month during training.
- A one-time book allowance of ₹30,000 is provided.
- DGFS Fellows receive tuition fee reimbursement for their M.Tech. program.
- Additional financial support is available for M.Tech. project expenses and research under the BRNS Fast Track Project Scheme.
Successful Career Path
Upon successful completion of the training program, candidates will be recruited as Scientific Officers in Group-A gazetted positions at various DAE units across India. These positions offer attractive salaries (Pay Level-10 of the 7th Pay Commission: ₹56100-177500 with starting salary of ₹63000) and excellent career progression opportunities.
