NTPC Invites Young Engineers to Join as Executive Trainees through GATE 2024

NTPC Limited, India’s leading power Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), has announced a recruitment drive for Engineering Executive Trainees (EETs) through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024. This recruitment drive, advertised as notification number 19/23, offers a promising career path for young and talented graduate engineers.

Vacancies Across Multiple Engineering Disciplines

A total of 475 EET positions are available across various engineering disciplines. These roles offer an excellent opportunity for aspiring engineers to contribute to India’s power sector. The distribution of vacancies by discipline and category is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria for Aspiring EETs

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Age: Must not exceed 27 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Must possess a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with a minimum of 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) as per their respective Institute/University norms.
GATE 2024: Candidates must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024. Selection will be based on GATE 2024 scores.

Compensation and Career Progression

Selected candidates will be placed in the E-1 pay scale, ranging from ₹40,000 to ₹140,000, with a 3% annual increment. This offers a competitive starting salary and potential for career growth within NTPC.
