  • Age Eligibility: The specified age bracket for applicants is 16 and a half to 19 and a half years. Specifically, candidates must have been born between 02 July 2006 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive). No relaxation in the age limit will be provided.
  • Required Physical Standards: Candidates must meet certain physical fitness criteria, including a minimum height of 152 centimeters and a minimum weight of 42 kilograms. Additionally, the required eyesight standard is 6/6 for the better eye and 6/18 for the worse eye.
  • Type of Commission: Upon successful completion of the comprehensive 4-year training course, cadets will be granted a Permanent Commission in the Indian Army. The specific Arms/Services to which they are assigned will be at the discretion of Army Headquarters. This guarantees a long-term career within the armed forces.
  • Financial Support During Training (Stipend): During their training period, Gentlemen Cadets will receive a monthly stipend of ₹56,100, an amount equivalent to what is provided to National Defence Academy (NDA) cadets upon completion of their initial three years of training.
  • Pay and Allowances Upon Commissioning: Following the successful completion of the entire four-year training program, candidates will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army. They will then be entitled to a salary in Level-10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), which ranges from ₹56,100 to ₹177,500, along with a Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500 per month and other applicable allowances.

Selection Process for the 54th 10+2 TES:

The selection process for the 54th 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme involves a crucial initial step: candidates must have appeared in the JEE (Mains) 2025 examination. Based on the scores obtained in this national-level engineering entrance examination, eligible candidates will be shortlisted. Only these shortlisted candidates, who meet the determined cut-off criteria, will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. This multi-stage assessment will be conducted at one of the designated Selection Centres located at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bengaluru (Karnataka), or Kapurthala (Punjab). The SSB interviews will be conducted by a team of assessors comprising a Psychologist, a Group Testing Officer, and an Interviewing Officer, and are tentatively scheduled to commence from August/September 2025 onwards.
