Understanding the NDA & NA Exam (II) 2025
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi, holds the sole responsibility for conducting the NDA and Naval Academy Exam (II) 2025, including setting selection guidelines and managing the final examination process. To join the esteemed National Defence Academy (NDA), appearing in this examination is a mandatory step.
Upon successful selection through the NDA Exam (II) 2025, candidates will undergo rigorous training. Army cadets will train for 3 years at NDA followed by 1 year at IMA. Naval cadets will complete 3 years at NDA and then 1 year at the Naval Academy. For Air Force cadets, the training regimen involves 3 years at NDA and an additional 1.5 years at AFA Hyderabad.
Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this examination, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Applicants must have been born between January 2, 2007, and January 1, 2010.
- Educational Qualification:
- For Army Wing: Candidates must have passed the 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- For Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy: Candidates must have passed the 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Physical Standards: All candidates are required to meet the specified physical fitness standards as detailed in the official recruitment notice.
Application Process and Examination Pattern
A non-refundable application fee of ₹100/- is applicable. However, SC/ST candidates are exempt from paying this fee. The fee can be deposited at any branch of SBI, or paid online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
